We are a leading distribution company located in the United Kingdom, currently seeking experienced Order Pickers to join our team.
We are looking for Order Pickers who are detail-oriented, organized, and have strong physical stamina. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an order picking or warehouse role, forklift and pallet jack operation experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Description
As an Order Picker, you will play an important role in ensuring that our clients’ orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, and ensuring that inventory is accurate and up-to-date.
You will also be responsible for operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensuring that all equipment is used safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
What you’ll be doing in the position
The successful candidate will be responsible for picking and packing orders for our clients, including but not limited to:
- Picking and packing items from warehouse shelves
- Checking orders for accuracy
- Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Keeping track of inventory and reporting any discrepancies
- Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse
- Meeting daily productivity and accuracy goals
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Must have skills and qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an order picking or warehouse role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items
- Forklift and pallet jack operation experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- A positive attitude and a willingness to take on new tasks
