Insurance Advisors play a vital role in the industry, as they are the ones who help individuals and businesses navigate the complex world of insurance and make informed decisions about their coverage.
What you’ll be doing in the position
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to clients, including but not limited to:
- Meeting with clients to assess their insurance needs and provide recommendations
- Explaining insurance policies and coverage options to clients
- Processing insurance applications and issuing policies
- Following up with clients to ensure they are satisfied with their coverage
- Keeping abreast of industry developments and changes in regulations
- Assisting clients with claims and policy changes
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients
- Achieving sales targets
Must have skills and qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance sales or a related field
- Strong knowledge of insurance products and services
- A proven track record of meeting sales targets
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- A professional and ethical approach to business
- A valid insurance license
- Strong computer skills
- Willingness to continuously educate themselves on industry changes, products and services
